Enrollment

1. Read Details Carefully

  • Before enrollment, please kindly read Game Details and Rules & Regulations carefully.
  • Participants should be in good health. Please consult your doctor before enrollment if one has any illness such as heart disease, respiratory system disease (e.g. asthma) or bone injury, etc. For participant aged over 70 years old, please kindly provide certificate of consultation.
  • The Organizer reserves the rights to disqualify any participant from the race who provide incorrect personal information in the enrollment

2. Enrollment

  • Enrollment deadline for family category is 14 May 2021, and other categories is 21 May 2021 (Postal application based on postmark date; online enrollment closed at 6pm).
  • ​Please send enrollment form once only to avoid duplication.
  • Note: All team members are able to assess and verify personal information of other members of the same team after the enrollment. Please contact the Organizer before the enrollment if any members show concerns about this.

Online enrollment system allows participants to enter an email address of organization representative, to facilitate mass enrollment of schools / corporate / organizations.

Please complete the application form and submit by email or by post to the Organizer. Email address: waterracehk@wse.hk . Mailing address: 23/F, Wofoo Commercial Building, 574-576 Nathan Road, Kln, HK (address to “Hong Kong Water Race” on the envelope).

3. Payment

  • Participation fee is HKD50 per team.
  • ​Before completing and submitting the application, teams should submit payment with the following method.

i. Bank Transfer

Please deposit or transfer the fee to “Wofoo Social Enterprises Ltd.” Bank Account
(HSBC: 534-090204-003)

Please be reminded to keep the deposit slip, and write down the entry category and name of team leader on the slip.

OR

ii. Cheque

Please make the cheque payable to “Wofoo Social Enterprises Ltd.”

Please write down the entry category, and name of team leader on the slip.

Promissory note will not be accepted.

  • Please take a photo of the deposit slip or cheque, and attach it before finishing the enrollment.
  • For teams who pay by cheque, please mail the cheque by post to the Organizer within 3 working days after completion of registration. Mailing address: 23/F, Wofoo Commercial Building, 574-576 Nathan Road, Kowloon (address to “Water Race Secretariat” on the envelope). If payment is not received within the time limit, the application will be temporarily put on hold without further notice. Quota will be given priority on teams in the waiting list.

4. Successful Registration

  • After receiving the participant information, the Organizer will notify all participants via email (all emails according to the registration form), indicating completion of registration. All members could also verify and confirm the personal information of other members of the same team is correct.
  • Teams have to check if members could receive the email, and please mark the “Registration Number” on the system page or in the email.

  • When enrollment quota is full, all applications completed registration will be put on the waiting list.

5. Enrollment Confirmation

  • After receiving payment, all participants will be notified via email with their “Team Number” (all emails according to the registration form). Please quote this for all enquiries afterwards.
  • The Organizer will update racer list regularly.

  • In case of any change or update of team member list, team category or other team information, please follow the arrangements below:
– Start of Enrollment – two days before event: Teams shall immediately inform the Secretariat.
– One day before event or on day: No change will be allowed.
  • Refund: The organizer will not accept refund under the following circumstances:
If the event encounters a special accident beyond the organizer’s control (for example typhoon, rainstorm, natural disaster, etc.), all participation fees will not be refunded.
Regardless of whether you participate or not, the organizer does not accept refund applications for participants absent from the event due to personal issues. All participation fees will not be refunded.
Except in the following circumstances: The participant cannot participate due to injury or illness. In this case, the participant needs to inform the organizer in writing as soon as the injury/ illness occurs, accompanied by relevant medical certifications, and no later than 5 working days of the injury/illness.
All refunds will be issued within two months after all necessary documents are received. Applications later than that date will not be entertained.
